This cache is hidden at Hogsback Falls near Ingonish. It is a good idea to do this one with a buddy (as I failed to do).
Park at the gated road on the south side of the Ingonish River, just before the bridge. Walk along this road and go right at the first fork (just before the two wooden posts). Follow the next path toward the river and into the woods (avoid the nearby retreat center if possible). The path nearest to the river is the one I recommend using, though they all go in the same direction. After crossing the first big tributary about two kilometres into the hike, continue until you reach the second, which is where the real fun begins! head up the brook, staying as close to the bottom of the gorge as possible. As you get closer to the falls, you will have to climb up the bank to avoid the brook itself, head back down at the bowl below the falls (there may be a rope). Good luck!
