This small and attractive village, with but a handful of cottages, two or three farms and a mid-Victorian church, lies just to the north of Barton-under-Needwood. The majority of the Parish comprises the wooded estate of Dunstall Hall. The current owner of the Hall is Fawaz Al-Hasawi who is also the chairman of Nottingham Forest Football club. the park land at the front of the hall has a large group of deer, and the village cricket club. The old hall remaining part of the estate.Owned by the Clarke family. The hall and grounds have been under going transformation for some years now, and is improved with the cash. Having lived in Dunstall all my teenage years(2 Church Cottages)now church villa's must have got posh. I would like to invite you to Dunstall to have a quiet drink at The White Lion -CHEERS Thought I would add a little more information. As a teenager I living on the Dunstall estate a 1200 acre play ground to us,(game keeper might no agree) On most Sunday afternoons in the late 1960 there would be a steady flow of car passing through the village asking for the White Lion on car treasure hunts.now a past time long gone I think. For those of you that have enjoyed the White Lion. I hope I have put a smile on your faces. P.S Please watch out for the traffic coming around the corner especially if with children!!!
