Geocache Description:

This was my first cache and its a log only cache! So don't forget your pencil. This cache is suited for travelers heading east on Highway 70. Park in the rest area at the top of the pass. Also, the container is not located on the missile.

 

The Nike Hercules Missile is a surface-to-air guided missile (SAM) system that was developed during the mid to late 1950's and could intercept and destroy enemy bombers. The Nike Hercules system was tested at White Sands Missile Range from the mid 1950's to late 1960's.
