Another in the Series "Places I Hid When I Was A Kid"
Back in World War 2 the army set up a camp in Ambleside Park where they built several "huts". In 1946, a number of the huts were moved to West Van High School to serve as classrooms. Some remained at Ambleside and became home of the Rod & Gun Club/Air Cadets' Hall which is now the Ambleside Youth Centre. Another hut was the home of the 2nd West Vancouver Cubs and Scouts of which I was a member and on this site now is a new doggy hotel. The area south of this used to be a little bushier and we had some great times hiding in the woods as we played Search and Rescue, honing our first aid skills.
Some have asked what the name of this cache means. In Scouting, young scouts are called Cubs and one of the ceremonies performed at every meeting challenges each Cub to Do Your Best (DYB). This is repeated four times to which every Cub answers "We''ll DOB DOB DOB DOB (Do Our Best). So DYB to find this cache. Its not a bad thing to once in a while have some caches that
are easy to find.
Bring a pen as this is a micro-cache. Please do not leave any trade items, the cache isn't that big.
