Geocache Description:

Welcome to Greenfield Lake, one of the oldest parks in the city of Wilmington. Here you will find a wonderful array of trails and shady resting spots amongst giant cypress, magnolias, and oaks. The 158-acre park boasts a large playground, tennis courts, picnic areas, a skate park, paddleboats, and some of the best scenery in the region.

This cache brings you to the Fragrance Garden (they must have misspelled the name), a pretty spot featuring a water fountain and a great view in close proximity to the Amphitheater. When we hid this cache there was a GREAT concert taking place (Robert Randolph and the Family Band), and the song that we could hear floating through the air was “Tears of Joy” - hence the name of this cache!

Please remember to use a fair bit of stealth and common sense during your search – this is a scenic spot, so there usually people in the area.
