Enajsta šola:
“Enajsta šola, Bog s teboj! Milo se mi stori, kadar se spomnim
nate, zibel življenja in spoznanja.”
To “šolo” je proslavil Ivan Cankar in jo opisal v crtici Moje
življenje. Tu, pod mostom, si je nabiral bogate in koristne
ucenosti, ki jih ni našel nikjer drugje.
Izraz “enajsta šola pod mostom” je poznal že Valentin Vodnik.
Prvi most cez Ljubljanico so zgradili šele leta 1790, drugega pa
leta 1888. Most je bil litoželezen in je bil prvi tovrstni objekt
na Kranjskem.

Eleventh school:
“Eleventh school God be with you!”
This school was described in Cankar’s work called My life. He
gathered rich and useful experience here under the bridge,
experience that he couldn’t find anywhere else.
The first bridge over the river Ljubljanica was built in 1790 and
the second was built in 1888. The bridge was made of cast iron and
was first such object in our country.
