Geocache Description:

Cache is camo plastic container with a screw lid. Contains the regular trade items. When you find it sit and listen to the wind blowing through the pines.... Calming isn't it? If you come in the fall you might want to wear orange. This is prime elk hunting country! May not be accessible in winter!

This is the 4th in the Cochetopa (Ute name for Pass of the Buffalo) series. From Gunnison to Saguache, or Saquache (pronounced Sa-watch) to Gunnison, this is one of the most breathtaking drives in Colorado. From the rock formations on the Saguache side of the pass to the twists and turns of the highway, following Cochetopa Creek on the Gunnison side of the pass, you will witness God's beauty firsthand!! You most likely will see wildlife on your drive, pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, deer, elk, bear, golden eagles all call this area home! Mid to late September you will be in awe of the beautiful aspen trees, wild roses and willows as they show you their splendor! Can you tell I love this area??? The cache is located just off County Road 17GG, hence the name.
