The Joshua Tree was probably the first album I ever bought. And
I still listen to it today! I wouldn’t be surprised if you
have the album yourself. For some reason it has a very universal
appeal. From stoners to skaters to alternative rock types, everyone
seems to enjoy it. This is the album that really catapulted U2 into
superstardom, and they’ve managed to maintain their
popularity. I wanted to hide the cache down near Moab since it
reminds me of the redrock desert so much but we couldn’t do
it this time. So many great songs in just the right sequence. The
hallmark of a superb album.
This cache is a little over a half mile up a little canyonette
above 9th street. I came to check out some crags and found there
were no caches above them. It was pretty hot in May, so it's going
to be really hot later, and no stream. Other than that the solitude
and scenery are excellent. I was tempted to hang it halfway up a
cliff, but decided against it. There is a little scrambling near
the end, so I'd advise you to commit the photos to memory. On my
way down I found a four foot yellowish rattler curled up on that
new trail. Be sure to make note of the clue of the song from
this album if you're planning on finding the number one album
cache. Enjoy!
