Geocache Description:


This cache has some history to it. On May 17, 2009 a few of us that were doing the CITO event in the park and doing our part for the good name of Geocaching, decided to take a look for this archived cache called Central Park Cache (GCGPYW) by Snoop Dog Roamy. Well it was our lucky day even though we didn't find the original container we found the contents of the cache still here and the logbook. The logbook was nice and dry thanks to some double plastic bagging. Bilder was the FTF back in August 2003. I have also left the original log book in the cache for those that found the original cache and might want to pull it out and look when they found it. Has your handwriting changed?

I wanted to try and adopt the cache but decided that even though the game is not about the numbers I know folks always like to come back to an area to see the changes.

This new cache is not a large like the original one but does have plently of room in it for trade items. This will sure be easier to find then a nano in the woods too and make some folks like me happy to find these. They are easily found for sale at many locations.

Please do not place any pencils or pens in the logbook plastic bag as they just poke holes in them. Just place it in the container or other large plastic bag. Thanks, enjoy the time you spend in the park! Lots to see and do here!

One final note, even though the park is in away from the edge of the mountains by a few miles still be: Bear Aware.
