Geocache Description:

Small lock & lock container, painted green, with room for small trade items. FTF prize is a "Where's George?" dollar bill. Hidden fairly close to road. Beware that during warmer months there may be poison plants, ticks, thorns, snakes, and the occasional snapping turtle.

Comet grew up next door to this "lake". There's not much to the lake anymore as it has been filled in. It used to have a neat waterfall on the east end of the dam. There is a small boat dock on the west end. We used to be able to swim in the summer and play on the ice in the winter. I've heard that its original purpose was to store water for the railroad but I don't know if that's true. If anyone knows the history, please let me know. :-)
