Marten Lake view, short trail past the second bridge
bring your fishing rod if in season, bring a snack, or a chair to sit down and enjoy the southerly view in the lake breeze.
the river current can be quite strong here.
the cache is just a few metres off the trail.
winter friendly
(scenic note: a 1/2 km up the main road, is a little road on the left(north-west), if you have the right right vehicle you can drive down about 500metres to the wickstead lake dam on the marten river. the road has large puddle holes and a few rocks, so most small cars or low vans will not get in. there is a large parking/turn around area at the end, and it is easy to walk to it instead. ) cannot put a cache here due to rules of park boundaries.
