Geocache Description:

This is a 1L clip top box with lots of room for TB / Geocoin swapping

The cache is located in the village of Tockwith. The town has a long history having been mentioned in the doomsday book (named Tocvi) in 1086. This village was also used as a staging area by the Parliamentarian army in June/July 1644 before the battle of Marsden Moor, which was fought just a little further towards York on 2nd July 1644. There is also a cache closer towards York commemorating the battle (details here: GCKVZK).

Apparently Mr Cromwell rather enjoyed his stay in the village and wrote high praise in his diaries saying - "If heaven should be half as blessed as the fields of Tockwith, all those who should pass St. Peter's Gate shall be met with joys unequalled" – so I think he liked it!

With regards to the cache name - well this is a cache placed along the same line of thought as the POTUS TB which is to be released from this cache shortly. Yes, Team Honeylove are finally to be married on 22nd June 2009 and so this is a little memento for us, and also the title fits nicely with our naming convention (Bonus points if any one has worked it out yet! … but I hope people haven’t!)

(Have to say a big thanks to Wikipedia for the history help here!)
