Geocache Description:

4x4 drive-up, traverse mid-level to find easiest road

Good morning, Campers! I'm your Brother Ernie,
And I welcome you to Tommy's Holiday Camp!
The camp with a difference, never mind the weather,
When you come to Tommy's, the holiday's forever!
Welcome!

Actually, the 1930's work town for the Metropolitan Water Dept's Colorado River Aqueduct. The aqueduct is bored through the mountains, almost 2000 feet underneath you. A few years ago, Amer. Soc. Civil Engineers listed the Aqueduct as one of the 7 Wonders of American Engineering. Goes from Lake Havasu to the LA Basin, with some water originating up by Yellowstone.

Decon is downhill eastward line with concrete wall (see pix). See 2009 link for ghosttowns (visit link)

4x4 for one spot getting to the mid-level, where you might lift a wheel. Continue to the westside of the flat to locate a dirt grade up the hill, and avoid the middle asphalt grade that eroded away.
