SidAndBob: We were up here two weeks ago and forgot to bring a log book. A good thing really, as when we arrived this evening we found the container, lid and stashnote dumped near a seat. There is nowhere else to hide a proper cache and as this cache has acquired a repeat visiting muggle it is time for this cache to go.
We often walk up here on summer evenings to enjoy the wonderful view and a game of basketball.

Geocache Description:

A terrific family friendly meadow/park with wonderful views.

This is quite a departure from our usual caches, but I'm hoping you'll take more from it than just a cache 'n' dash.
Babington Meadow nestles in the heart of Penallt next to Capel Pentwyn (1869). There is a lovely contrast between well groomed park and wild meadow with wonderful views over the Wye Valley.
This well maintained area contains a fixed barbecue (free use to all), so why not bring the family for an eat-out this summer. The older kids can shoot a few hoops, while the youngsters can play on the climbing frame.
The lower area also doubles as a miniature amphitheatre with occasional performances from outdoor production groups.

You do not need to wander into the long grass to find the cache, so please respect the meadow for what it is.

If the park is busy, why not check out A View to Die For, visit the nearby Bush Inn or the Wildlife Trust's Orchard next to the pub, then come back and hopefully the coast will be clear.
