Cracking transposition ciphers
Although typically shown as being laid out in a rectangle there is
no reason other shapes can't be used. A way to start is to
construct a chart of different sized and sided polygons and the
number of letters they could contain. You should find some
geometric patterns in the size of polygons that help you work out
the initial shape.
