Geocache Description:

Kulkawurra School Site

Where I stayed at a friend's place  they contacted  Bill Murdoch. He went to school there from 1932-1940  The school was only a primary school. With 13 kids. When the Karoonda area  school opened they then closed  the Kulkawurra school

Karoonda had 41 kids. The footy club as built in 1963.

There was a government bore built on White Wells Rd. In 1900. It was put there for people to water their horses. The man that live on the otherside of the road used to bring his horses there for water. He came to the area in1906.

All the mail had to come from Sherlock until 1913 then the PO opened in Karoonda.

The house was built in 1956 it was on 400 acres. He cant remember who lived there.
