You know how these things go......
This is the site of my most glorious fishing adventure. It was the perfect day to be out. If I only knew at the begining that this would be "THE":day.
I cast my line and hear the plop...no sooner than the sound subsided...I had my hit. Within seconds I was in the fight of my life. My "soon to be catch" would tug me almost into the river and I would tug back. 6 hours I fought this fish. It was an epic battle to go into the history books.
Finaly I could see the fish break the waters surface as my rod snapped in two. This fish would not get away. I was holding the line with my bare hand as it quickly tore through the skin. I dove in and grabbed the fish in a bear hug only to find my arms could not connect..THE FISH WAS THAT FREAKING BIG.
For 1 hour starit we wrestled in the water. From time to time I thought I was winning...then I thought the fish was winning. I got a foot hold on the bottom and finaly was able to toss the fish to shore....It floped once and was proped against the tree, standing on its tail. I exited the water and that fish met me eye to eye when I was in a fully standing position. It almost grinned at me as I walked up.
This was my keeper of a life time. This cache it the proof that the struggle happend right here.
Now you know how fish stories can be.....You will see what I actually caught....I just like the way I tell it better.
