Unless you brought a boat with you, enjoy your walk around Timber
Lake as you head to find this cache. It isn't really a strenuous
hike, but any little ones you bring with you may be complaining by
the time you get back to your car!
Tree cover was fairly heavy at the site, so your signal
reception may suffer. Be patient, and keep looking!
All the usual Eglin Range issues may apply depending on the
times and seasons: thorns, snakes, ticks, bears, alligators,
thorns, UXO's, thorns, hurricanes. Oh yeah: Thorns.
This cache is hidden on the Eglin Range and you
MUST have a Recreation pass to be on the range.
The pass is good for one year (from Oct 1st through Sept 30th) and
costs $12 as of 2009. You may get your pass from the Jackson Guard
at 107 Hwy 85 North in Niceville. Their hours are: M-Th 0700-1630,
F 0700-1800, Sat 0730-1230, Closed Sun and Federal Holidays. Phone
#(850) 882-4165.
DO NOT HUNT THIS CACHE UNLESS
YOU HAVE YOUR RANGE PASS WITH YOU!!
