This cache is located on a hill top (410 feet ASL) .
Reaching the cache site requires a round trip of about 3-4 miles depending on route chosen and is quite steep in places.
Mae'r celc wedi ei leoli ar ben bryn (410 troedfedd uwchben y môr). Mae cyrraedd y celc yn cymeryd 3-4 milltir ac mae'n llwybr yn serth.
There are two ways to approach this site. The easiest way to the cache is to park at N. 51 45 167 W. 04.34.595. From here it is 1.7 miles to the cache, so a round trip of 3.4 miles. This parking area is 1 mile out of Pendine on the Amroth Road (right hand side). Walk 200 yards towards Amroth, and arrive at a signposted walk on the left (opposite standing stones). Walk down this track until you arrive near the pebbled beach. Turn right at the wall and take the steep path up the hill. At the top of the hill leave the path and go immediately left. You have now entered the area known as Morfa Bychan. Here you can enjoy fine views of Gilman Point and Pendine sands beyond. The location is also quite good for bird watching and a great place for a picnic on a fine day. If you have children please keep them under close supervision as the area is covered in bracken, and pot holes and rocks will not be readily visible. An alternative and slightly shorter but steeper route to the cache is to start in Pendine itself. Pay parking is available at N.51.44.599 W. 04.33.419. From here head west past the Museum of Speed and on towards the end of the beach. Then up the steps past the cafe onto the cliff path marked “Carmarthen Coastal Path”. This is a pretty steep climb. Once on the level cliff-top path take the left fork under the ancient settlement on Gilman Point then zigzag left, then right to descend to the pebbled beach. The path crosses the track to the beach before passing below a huge concrete wall of WW2 vintage. I believe this area was used as a training ground for the Normandy landings. In summer, the path up the hill can be quite overgrown for first 200 yards or so. From here, climb an obvious zigzag path to the hill top. Parking is also possible on beach at Morfa Bychan. After passing Green Bridge Inn, take a sharp left down a narrow muddy track to beach. I do not personally recommend this route but have seen quite a few cars using this track. CYMRAEG Mae'r celc wedi ei leoli ar ben bryn (410 troedfedd uwchben y môr). Mae cyrraedd y celc yn cymeryd 3-4 milltir ac mae'n llwybr yn serth. Mae dau ffordd i gyrraedd y celc. Y ffordd rhwyddaf i'r celc yw i barcio yn N. 51 45 167 W. 04.34.595. O'r fan hyn mae'n cymeryd 1.7 milltir i'r celc, mae felly yn cymeryd 3.4 milltir. Mae'r lle parcio yma milltir i lawr y ffordd i Amroth (ar y dde) o Bentwyn. Cerddwch 200 llath ar y ffordd i Amroth a trowch i'r chwith i lawr llwybr cyhoeddus gyferbyn a'r meini cerrig. Cerddwch i lawr y llwybr i'r traeth, a trowch i'r dde wrth y wal a cerddwch i fyny 'r bryn. Ar ben y bryn, trowch yn syth i'r chwith oddi ar y llwybr. Dyma Morfa Bychan.
