The Crosby Line Traditional Cache
George Montague: After a couple of "Gone AWOL" and quite a few DNF, Checked today and CO couldn't find it either. I think it has run it's race, and should now go to the great cache hide in the sky.

A small easy walk-by cache hidden along the North Ipswich Wetlands Path.
Mount Crosby water pumping station and treatment plant was originally operated using steam driven pumps to provide water for the city of Brisbane. Coal for the boilers was brought to the station from Ipswich along a specially built railway line opened on 10 December 1913. The line was in use until 1932, and the easement was sold to Brisbane city council in the late 1950s.
Later the pumps were replaced by electric pumps and the rail tracks were removed. A pipeline feeding water to Ipswich used part of the old permanent way, and a section of the old permanent way now forms part of the North Ipswich Wetlands walking trail.
If you park in Daly St off Hill St there is a signboard showing the layout of the trail, and some more information. The circuit trail is a pleasant walk which can be done in an hour or so, and is worth the effort.
The cache contains a logbook, ftf bonus, and a few small swaps, but no pencil so please bring your own.
