The 'Jumbo Tree' is the largest tree in the Upper Kiewa Valley of North East Victoria.
Features of the Tree:
• 9 metres in circumferance.
• 80 metres high.
• 400 years old.
• At an altitude of 1,050 metres above sea level (asl).
• Located on the South side of the track.
• Can anybody identify what type of tree it is?
Features of the Cache:
• Cache is a small plastic container inside a silver bag and contains a log book and pencils.
• Cache was placed on Friday 22 May 2009.
Access:
• By four wheel drive with low ratio (not soft-roaders), mountain bike or walking.
• Distance South from Tawonga Gap lookout (on the main Bright-Mt Beauty Road) to Cache is 7.6km (hilly terrain).
