This is the Third of a series of very simple offset Caches where clues are obtained from the information recorded on war memorials
The above coordinates are for the war memorial located within the cemetary of the Parish Church at Wool, Dorset. There is space for two cars to park at the end of church lane. Coordinates are provided below.
This series was inspired by the approaching anniversary of the death of a dear friend and colleague, Ian Hall, who died serving his country on 25th May 1982
I hope that this series will be taken up by other cachers and that people are encouraged to visit war memorials and to spend a few moments in quiet contemplation and gratitude to all of those of every nation who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
The caches in this series have been placed with the knowledge and approval of the conservation Officer from the War Memorials Trust who ask that any damage to memorials be reported to them via the web site aboe.
None of these caches are placed on memorials or their associated landscaping.
The cache on this occassion is a 35mm film canister containing just a log book, please bring your own pen.
To find the cache locate the following information on the memorial
A = Number of letters in the surname of the third person listed on the WW2 memorial
B = Number of letters in 2nd surname - number of letters in 1st Surname on WW2 memorial
C = Number WW2 surnames beginning with 'S'
D = Number of letters in 2nd surname on WW2 memorial
E = Number of surnames in each column of WW1 memorial (disregard the bottom name which spans both columns).

I would be delighted if others wish to extend this series across the country. I ask only that if you intend to do so within Dorset you let me know so I can keep a record.
This cache is on fairly level ground, suitable for the less able with a slight detour to avoid steps. Wheel Chairs and Pushchairs would have to negotiate some steps to access the clues and a gate to get to the cache.
