For people who travel into the BWCAW, it is very important that they listen to the VOICES OF THE WILDERNESS.
The mural shows the ANCIENT VOICES - that are still out there in the wilderness- they will speak to you if you open your eyes,ears, and soul to what they have to say, whether the voices come on the soft whisper of the wind through the trees, or when paddling your canoe you look into the water and experience the magical black on black- black water, black evergreens, and the blacker black of the raven as he flies over the blackness of the water on a beautiful sunny summer day. ( You have to experience this magical moment to know what I mean). Maybe they will speak to you at sunset or on a beautiful moonlit or starry, starry night. The ancient ones are still out there. Is that morning mist rising from the forest as you paddle early in the morning, or is it the campfire smoke from the ancient ones?
Under the sign of the RAVEN you see the MODERN VOICES OF THE WILDERNESS- They will also speak out to you in the wilderness if you are tuned to their messages- at sunset, on a moonlit or starry starry night, at a campfire breakfast- they are there if you listen carefully.
