So named because this is my third hide in the Kittatinny Valley State Park. The cache is located on a side trail, off the white trail. The white trail will take you along the lake; and I picked GZ for view of the lake (in the fall and winter). This part of the park is less used than other parts.
The container is a medium sized plastic box. You do not have to do any bushwhacking to get to the cache. This makes it relatively kid friendly. If you approach from the parking area listed below, you will have an easy walk, except for one short but somewhat steep rise. Watch for roots and rocks on the trail.
The cache is hidden in a place that’s typical for this terrain. There is nothing too challenging here. Your GPS will bounce around a bit here. But the numbers are averaged and they will get you where you need to go. Please make sure you close the container completely and be careful to place the container back as you found it. Thanks.
When placed, the cache contained a variety of goodies (see photo if you’re interested).
I included a trackable GeoGem Diamond (not activated) as a FTF prize.
Enjoy the cache and the park. Post your photos if you are so inclined.
Thanks.
The park entrance is on Goodale road. Follow the drive into the park to the end. There is parking, a picnic area, and the park HQ here.
