Whoa! Wild Wombats???? Wicked!!

The cache is located in an area that has a rather large and active Wombat population. In the last two rallies i have done down here, i have seen no less than five of these creatures on this road. At speed, it makes for some very interesting moments!

For the best chance to see the Wombats, come down here at night. You'll need to drive slowly to be safe as there are also lots of hoppers and long legged and long necked bush chooks. This area is adjacent to the Dry Creek Native Forest Reserve, and there are many other caches in this part of the South East. There is also a Wombat Walk near Penambol Native Forest Reserve too if you're really keen.

Bring a torch and go for a wander. Please record any animals that you see in your log, especially if you're down here at night. Hope you can spot some of the big furry critters... just don't get in their way!
