Back in 1980, when jobs were pretty scarce around here, Martha and I made some pretty good pocket change picking wild blackberries. Once we learned to prepare for the chiggers it wasn't to bad a job. About a hundred yards from here used to be our favorite spot. There was a blackberry field about half the size of a football field. The blackberries are gone now to make room for a sod farm. (Progress???)
