While I was out hiking today I decided to start paying attention
to the trees and plants I saw along the way.
I began my hike at the hobby lobby so I could get a pen. On the
way back to the art supplies, I saw a beautiful plastic gumbo limbo
tree that I thought would look nice in my family room.
After leaving there, I decided to go get a cache or two, one was
right next to a buckeye tree, one was covered in poison ivy(thank
god I'm not allergic), one was up in a weeping willow tree, and
another was hidden inside a plastic cactus.
Not knowing my western plants, I did a little research and
determined the plastic cactus was a saguaro cactus. It was
surrounded by several prairie crocus.
The final cache I did for the day has some sort of Hawaiian
theme going on because it was loaded with tiki statues and
artifical miniature royal palms.
It's amazing the kind of fauna you can find in Dayton when you
just look for it. Somewhere along the way, I dropped a cache for
you to find right in Dayton's backyard.
Check.
