Geocache Description:

This is a small camo container located basically at the top of the mountain. A nice walk.

This is Cache # 2 of a series of caches, “A Cache A Day While On Vaca” - "Picnic @ the Park"

Relax and have a picnic in a quiet park.

I placed this cache because it was a place that I went frequently as a kid. Since the last time I was here, I noticed that things have definitely changed.

The park is no longer open. I can’t believe that they would let it go like that. This park would make wonderful picnic area, a baseball field to utilize and even sprinklers for the little ones.

As I was walking up I had noticed that there were still picnic tables that appear to be in good shape –still standing even. But what really drew me up here today was a stone observation tower that you were able to climb up a spiral staircase that lead you to the top, where you could see afar.

Today……

The stone structure has aged.

The area has been vandalized with graffitii and left with broken glass surrounding the tower.

There is a lock on the steel gate leading you into the stairwell.

And then there is one disappointed CQ.

This area calls for a “Cache In Trash Out” Volunteer Action.
(See a piece of trash, take it with you and dispose of it in the green barrels provided at the parking area.)
