The actual cache is a PVC pipe. This property has a fence that is to keep the cows out. Rock climbers and geocachers have permission to enter from the landowner. Do not be put off by the private property signs. It is a pretty hard cache to get to but not too hard to find once you are there. Very difficult terrain. Long pants, boots, and maybe a long shirt for younger children if you do not want to get scratched by the weeds. Grass is high at the moment. Takes about 20 minutes from car till base of rock. there is a large crack down the middle of the rock, climb through/up there and follow your GPS. Once found cache climb up to the very top of the rock and enjoy 360 degree views of Townsville and surrounds. Also watch for wildlife. Do not go after 4:30pm as one can get lost in the dark.
Directions: Coming up from the city, turn left in to Sharps Rd and stop roughly 1km after you turn. You will see the rock. You Can't miss it! Across road from Tea Rooms. Follow your GPS! Good Luck!
