Geocache Description:

Reachable by car if needed

The Elenydd (pronounced Elenith) is in the Cambrian mountains. This is one of two caches placed in this remote and very beautiful area of mid-Wales. The cache is located near a 17th century farmhouse on the bank of the river Towy. The farmhouse is called Dolgoch, and is owned and run by the Elenydd Wilderness Hostel Trust who bought the hostel from the Youth Hostels Association in 2007 with the specific purpose of saving it for use as a hostel into the future. If the hostel is open, take a look inside to see the original stone floor, open fire and gas lighting.
