 Kunstgalleriet Kunstbanken holder til i det gamle Norges Bank bygget ... er det hva som kalles en sikker oppbevaring av kunsten...?

Kunstbanken Hedmark Kunstsenter er en stiftelse eid av Bildende Kunstnere Hedmark, Norske Kunsthåndverkere Øst-Norge og Hedmark fylkeskommune. Dette samarbeidet mellom kunstnerorganisasjonene og fylkesommunen er enestående for en norsk kunstinstitusjon.

Kunstbanken har 8 ulike utstillingsrom med tilsammen 440 m2, eget formidlingsrom og restaurant. De har som mål å vise et mangfold av kunstneriske uttrykk, med hovedvekt på eksperimentell og nyskapende kunst og viser både norsk og internasjonal samtidskunst. I Kunstbutikken finner du gaveartikler laget av kunstnere i Hedmark og resten av landet. Her selges kun unike ting laget av samtidskunstnere. Utvalget består av smykker, glass, keramikk, kniver, ulike tekstilarbeider, bilder etc. etc.

Går du inn hovedinngangen til det gamle Norges Bank bygget kommer du til en restaurant, mens kunstgalleriet finner du inn sideinngangen.

Utstillingene er skiftende. Besøk hjemmesiden. for å se hvilke utstillinger som holdes
Inngangen er gratis, og kunsten kan beskues:
Tirsdag - fredag 11 - 16
Lørdag - Søndag 12 - 17

The art gallery KUNSTBANKEN  (The Art Bank) are located in the old building of the Norwegian Bank. If you enter the front entrance of the Norwegian Bank, you will enter the restaurant. Through the side entrance you will get directly to the art gallery.

Kunstbanken was founded in 1996 by the artists’ organisations in Hedmark and the County Council. The foundation is a continued development of Hedmark Kunstnersenter, which was established in 1981. The Bank of Norway building, dating from 1901, was placed at the foundation’s disposal by the County Council of Hedmark and in the summer of 1997, Kunstbanken hosted its first exhibition. Kunstbanken exhibits visual arts and art crafts from Norway and abroad. You may view the art in 8 different rooms, on a area of 440 m2.

In the store Kunstbutikken you will find art from local artist but also from other Norwegian artists. Just unique things of  artists of our times are sold.

Tuesday - Friday 11 - 16
Saturday - Sunday 12 - 17
Monday closed
