Geocache Description:

GPP #17: A cache in Turner Park in Grand Prairie, Texas

2nd cache we have placed in the Turner in Grand Prairie Texas.

We live in Arlington, Texas - but have found that most of the parks in Arlington have plenty of caches. However, there are a number of "empty" parks in Grand Prairie, Texas which is right next door to us - so we decided to try and help fill up the Grand Prairie Parks. The Turner Park is the fifth Grand Prairie park we have placed caches in as part of our GPP series.

According to Grand Prairie, Turner Park has: "Pavilion, gazebo, scenic open space acreage, meeting facilities, Women's Club, outdoor learning center, tennis courts." The park does not have restrooms. We drove into the park and could not believe there were no caches hidden in here. We only had a few with us, so we only hid one so far.

This is the 2nd cache we placed in the park. There is a large rock map of the State of Texas nearby. The cache is a 35mm film container and contains a log only - so Bring Your Own Pen.
