Cache is a lunchbox in a black sack. It contains a log and pencil and a few small trades.
One mile south of Coleraine on the A45 is this beautiful wooded park. There is a large car park with open grass areas and picnic tables. From here two waymarked paths lead through a wide variety of broadleaved and conifer trees. The White Trail is especially designed for wheelchair users and partially sighted walkers and is a 1km circular route. The longer Red Trail is about 3km long and there is some steeper gradients along the way. These paths can be used for jogging in conjunction with exercise apparatus situated in a fitness cluster next to the car park.
Herons nest beside the woodland, and squirrels can be seen further in the wood among the oak and beech trees.
Best to follow the Red Trail clockwise starting at the noticeboard, but there are lots of other paths through the woods which you can take. The cache has been placed off the main path but is still easily accessible. It is placed about half way round the Red Trail so about a 3km round trip involved.
The co-ordinates may not be completely accurate as there is a lot of tree cover. Mo's poem should direct you if you find this a problem.
