Cache is a small tab lock box in a bag sack. It contains a log and pencil and some swaps.
The cache is placed in a beautiful wooded walk just outside Coleraine on the A45.
Do it in conjunction with our other cache further on along the trail. This one is only about .2ml from the carpark, just off the White Trail.
This park is a great place to come for a short stroll or a longer walk through beech, chestnut, oak and pine with plenty of seats along the paths for short rests. It is always full of families walking and cycling and in the "good" weather, picnic-ing and bbq-ing.
Watch out for squirrels and listen to the birds as you walk. Keep an eye out for the grey herons which settle in the trees in the evening.
Update 31/10/10
The "Treemendous Tangle" will soon be no more, after a maintenance visit today it is clear the tree is being sawn up and removed. I think because it is rotten in parts. So although this area is still a great place for children, the reason for visiting this particular spot will soon be gone. Use this cache as a starting point to do our other one "Somerset Walk" which is further into the woods
Please make sure you put the cache back out of sight.
