Geocache Description:

If Oak Mountain can have a 'Kings Chair' then Tannehill can have a 'Queens Chair'. This is a spot I discovered during a trek to another cache in the park a while back. It is a very nice 'chair' at the top of a ridge that is made up of natural rocks with some human 'modifications'. The area seems to be a semi-permanent campfire site with other sitting stones set up around a fire ring.

The coordinates are for the 'chair'. To find the cache you will have to walk approximately 85 feet (35-40 average steps) along the rocky ridge top in the direction you are facing when sitting in the 'chair'. It is to the left of the center of the ridge top but you won't have to go down the steep rocks. It is a small lock and lock container that I won at a recent event and has a few trade items available. Please hide it back as found so as to keep it unnoticed!

Easiest approach is by parking at the Fowler House (N 33.14.860 and W 087.04.339). Go up the hill behnd the house and turn right along an old trail that is parallel to the ridge top. When it ends take a left up the hill and you are fairly close.

As it is a State Park there is an admission fee of $3.00 for adults to get in. There are many other caches located throughout the park so stay and make a day of it.
