Geocache Description:


Ein schneller einfacher Multi am Rande der Lüneburger Heide (weniger als 0,5km)

Am Startpunkt befindet sich eine Teichanlage, die heute Privatbesitz ist. Diese bitte nicht ohne Erlaubnis betreten.

Früher dienten die am Nordufer liegenden Quellen, die den Teich speisen, als Trinkwasserversorgung für Soderstorf. Später befand sich hier der örtliche Badeplatz. Die heutige Nutzung bleibt den Sportfischern vorbehalten.

In der Nähe des Startpunktes befindet sich ein Schild mit dem Namen der Anlage in Großbuchstaben. Dieser Name wird benötigt um die Koordinaten des Final zu ermitteln. Dabei gelten die folgenden Regeln:

1. Die Buchstaben des Namens sind Zahlen zuzuordnen (A=1, B=2, C=3, ... , Z=26).

2. Setze die drei Teile des Namens ohne Leerzeichen hintereinander und du erhälst etwas wie "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWX". Im Folgenden entspricht also der der erste Buchstabe des gesuchten Namens dem "A", der zweite dem "B", der dritte dem "C" usw.

3. Die Koordinaten werden nun wie folgt ermittelt:
N: NH° (Q-1)X.V(G-2)(Q+1)'
E: (E-4)Q(A-6)° (H-3)I.M(A+1)(L/2)'

Beispiel: Wenn der vierzehnte Buchstabe des gesuchten Names, der also an Stelle N steht, ein B wäre, dann ergäbe sich als erste Ziffer der Nordkoordinate eine 2, wegen B=2. Wäre dann der 8. Buchstabe des gesuchten Namens, der also an Stelle H steht, ein D, dann ergäbe sich die Gradzahl der Nordkoordinate zu 24.

A fast and easy multi on the edge of the Lüneburg Heath (less than 0,5km)

At the starting point, there is a pond, which is now privately owned. So please do not enter without permission.

The fountains on the north shore that feed the pond previously served as a water supply for Soderstorf. Later this was the site of the local swimming area. The current use is subject to the sport fishermen.

Near the starting point you will find a sign with the name of the area in capital letters. This information is required to determine the coordinates of the final. Note the following rules:

1. The letters of the name are assigned numbers (A = 1, B = 2, C = 3, ..., Z = 26).

2. Put the three parts of the name without any spaces into a row and you'll get something like "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWX". In the following the first letter of the pond's name is considered to be "A", the second as "B", the third as "C", etc.

3. The coordinates are then determined as follows:
N: NH° (Q-1)X.V(G-2)(Q+1)'
E: (E-4)Q(A-6)° (H-3)I.M(A+1)(L/2)'

For example, if the fourteenth letter of the desired name which is in place of N, would be "B", then the first digit of the north coordinate would be "2", because of B=2. If the eighth letter of the name, which is in place of H, was a "D", it would result in the number of degrees of northing to 24.

From the final location you can make your way to the starting point of the cache GCHNXV "Fliegerkreuz - 2. Edition".
