Twixt May Beck and Falling Foss Traditional Cache

This cache is not suitable for people with mobility problems or for children in pushchairs. It involves a short walk up a steep hill and the ground is uneven with stones and tree roots. It is very slippery when wet.

This is placed closest to the May Beck car park and so I suggest you park there. Please note as soon as you cross the cattle grid from the main road there are sheep wandering on and off the road at will, likewise along the walk to the cache itself. Take care when driving and keep your dog on a lead.

Given time and encouragement most children over the age of 3 could manage this walk, bring a picnic and some paddling shoes for them to make the most of the surroundings. Follow the sign for Falling Foss from the car park to set you off in the right direction for the cache, you will be heading downstream and the steam will be on your left.
