honeychile: Thanks to all who attended and special thanks for all the cool photos uploaded. As I was looking around at folks and thinking, I realized that most of you have been my friends for many years now. I believe I've known David & Diana for over seven years. I first met Beagle Camper when he was about 12 and now his Dad tells me he's preparing for college this fall! Time sure flies when you're having geocaching fun! Thanks for the adventure and the memories!

Geocache Description:

WHO'S YOUR DADDY?

This is a no-fuss, no frills Geocaching Event on Father's Day. I know everybody will be taking Dad out to eat or maybe burning some dogs on the grill, but take a few minutes to swing by, sign the logbook, get a snack and a drink, and pick up a tiny gift for a geocaching Dad. I've made up pin-back buttons in the design to the left. They're free for all geocaching Dads (or others who want to pick up one for their father or a friend who's a geocaching Daddy). But even if you're not a Dad, you're still welcome to attend this mini-event.

The location is the starting point of my night cache, at one entrance to Bethabara Park, and a ton of great caches are within the park and nearby. If there are some Winston-Salem caches you've been meaning to tackle, before or after the event would be a good time!

The event will take place from 3 to 5 pm at the coordinates given. I haven't planned a long event because I know that you'll be doing various things to honor Dad that day and my motivation is to add to the fun, not occupy your day. You DO NOT have to stay for the duration of the event, but are free to just swing by anytime from 3-5, make an appearance, pick up your goodies, and sign the logbook.

There's a cool hat for the FDTSU (first Dad to show up) and at the end of the event, there'll be a drawing from all the geocaching Dads for a very, very special trackable geocoin (you do not have to be present to win). Please log your intention to attend so that I am sure to have enough buttons, snacks, and drinks.
