Geocache Description:

This cache takes you along a rail trail that runs along Rockwood Pond. The cache can be accessed from either the North or South along the trail, but the best parking is at the intersection of the rail trail and Rockwood Pond Rd. at the north end of the pond. Cache is an easy 1/2 mile walk from the parking coordiantes. For a longer walk, the cache can be accessed from Rhododendron Rd. where the trail intersects the road about 0.7 miles east of the entrance to Rhododendron State Park. Cache is about 20-25 feet off the trail, and does require some mild bushwacking to get to the hide which is a small lock and lock container. The walk by the pond provides a nice view of Grand Monadnock and Gap Mt. to the northeast. If you feel like being adventurous, you'll see a rope swing about 0.25 miles from the cache. If it's really warm, chances are it could be in use.
