Geocache Description:

Short kid-friendly hike from the West Wing Park area

This cache was placed for all those families with kids (like ours) who might not be able to get the more challenging West Wing area caches with our kids in tow. This cache is in the Sunrise Mountain Trail which is part of the Peoria parks system.

This hike is relatively short and the trail is graded. My 3 year-old easily made this hike and helped us hide it.

The cache is placed in a area just off the trail where you can rest and take a break. The cache is just off the trail, so watch out for muggles and hide well before you leave.

10/11/09 With the recent completion of West Wing Park, the official parking area and trail head is now at the park. However, there is still parking at West Wing Elementary School at the north end of the parking lot if you want a slightly shorter hike.
