Geocache Description:

Note: They are doing construction in the area that I had wanted to place this. I may move slightly when they are all done ripping up the road.

I've been familiar with this (general) area my whole life. It is near one of the first places I thought of when I thought to place my own cache. There are many things going on in this area and can be quite busy in the summer, thusly watch for muggles and do not park right at GZ as not to get your car hit. Should be a quick park and grab, but feel free to linger a bit. Started with a log and geocoin. With a 2 pence coin for FTF. Bring your own pen.

There are two malls within a couple miles of this area and many major roadways. The home for the deaf is across the street. With most every kind of food that you may like, a nice garden store (Gibney Gardens) right down the road and the best place to have a pizza while yout do your laundry on the Crane River going the other way. I grew up hanging around the boat yard behind the newly built Dunkin Donuts. I would go with my father to work. I was friendly with many of the employees and houseboat owners making the rounds and collecting cans to turn in, so I could buy a treat or save a few dollars in the bank, but that was a long time ago. Which was when up the street you would bowl and score your own string.
Recently, there was a very serious blast that occurred and destroyed many of the local businesses and homes, many of which had been there for years (you can see it in the sign for the Danversport pizza factory which still "stands"). I remember the day as I was woken up in the middle of the night when my house that was ~2 miles away shook. That old Novi boat that used to be moored at the marina which is now further down the river took a hit too and had to be repaired. Usually come the early summer/late spring the small fish are swimming up river and brining the stripped bass with them, then the fishermen are soon to follow. When placing the cache I saw an egret and heron fishing on the tide line.

Thanks for visting and happy caching.

Congratulations to patriot162 for FTF!
