Geocache Description:

REPLACED on 10/1/13! I will be putting a few travel bugs in this cache in the next week or so, and will try to get more accurate coords at that time.

This cache is placed alongside U.S. Route 277 in Munday, Texas. The view from the cache’s home includes an artistic rendering of the state flag composed in part by a relief of silhouettes of local townspeople. The citizens of Munday posed for photos to be used in the rendering on the new highway overpass built as a part of the project to enhance the section of the highway stretching from Wichita Falls to Abilene.

The cache is in a 2-quart Tupperware container and contains its first hotel guest. The Denali N.P. Stamp travel bug was picked up by one of the cache owners in Foster City, California and brought to Munday as a tourism revitalization effort. Your travel bugs are invited to visit the hotel and experience Munday’s legendary hospitality. Be sure to check out some of the local tourist attractions while you are in town, such as the many local churches, Centennial Park, and Dairy Queen at happy hour.

Travel-themed deck of cards for the FTF.
