Cache en route to Haslam Suspension bridge. I placed this cache to mark the start of the trail which leads to the Haslam Suspension bridge which was built in 2002.
I orignally reached the bridge Via Private land 2 different times and was upset both times, I followed the trail back one day and found this way in and out which is the best way to start this cache. 1.5 Km to the Bridge and it is worth checking out if you never have been.Follow the Trans Canada Trail to the bridge. There is another cache near the bridge as well. GCGAPR
To Get to this cache travel south from Nanaimo and turn right onto Timberlands Rd. Which is just past the Nanaimo-Collishaw Airport. Continue up the road until you pass Rondalyn Resort, Keep Left to the end of the road past the gate( No worries public access till end of dirt road) you will pass a Training Site gravel pit, park there or you can drive up to the next spot and you will park at the next flagging area.Just around the corner.
The trail head is located close by a new fence Along the dirt road will lead you to the trailhead Several other routes will also get you to the start the Trans Canada trail to Haslam Trail .There are a few ways to get to this cache but this is the easist and the one of the only ways that does not include any private land. My GPS would only give me an accuracy of 13 M so im a little scared of the Coords. I checked it three times the day of the planting and got the same coords as posted but with 13 M you never really know. im going to give really good hints till a few cachers can confirm coords in there finds for me.
