Geocache Description:

SHORT DESCRIPTION:
Cache is underwater. If you go at low tide, you won’t get wet. Difficulty rating due to tide, hidden location and muggles. You are looking for a small bottle with a very powerful magnet. KEEP AWAY from GPS. Please secure lids well. Thanks.

LONG DESCRIPTION:

LOCATION: This cache can be found on the Silver Jubilee Walk and is close to the OXO building. The Tate Modern is to the East and the South Bank Centre to the West. North is St. Paul's Cathedral.

DETAILS:
Time and Tide wait for no man – but YOU will have to wait for Father Thames.
Difficulty rating is high because this Mermaid Cache appears from the watery depths for only a few hours each day. You will need to be quick as she is a bit shy and remains out of sight from most. However, stealth is still required because reveling muggles will appear from left, right and ABOVE!

WARNING – This little Mermaid siren (visit link) has incredibly powerful magnetism! KEEP WELL AWAY from your GPS!

You may want to consult what the Moon has to say here… (visit link)
(How to use: Look for Tower Pier and your date of visit. Then find the time of the lowest number. Eg for 23rd May 09, low tide is 06:53 and 19:22 .

If you want to take your chances, racing the tide, you can also walk to the West, where there is a small beach-like area. You can often see sand-sculpting here.

What else can I say – except always take care near water. Also, the Thames washes up all sorts of flotsam and jetsum - so careful what you pick up or tread on!

THE CACHE:
There is only room for small swaps - plastic in the main please - just in case! If you place a TB inside, please keep near the top in order to avoid the magnet. You may want to tie the string to it so that it can be removed easily.

PLEASE SECURE LIDS VERY TIGHTLY and rehide the wire - Thanks. ;-)

Contents when set:
Pirate rubber
Plastic car
Fortune telling fish
Raw plug Travel Bug
String (to attach to TBs in order to separate them from magnet!)
Marble, shell and dragon’s tear
Spare log pencil
Mini bottle with log and pencil inside – Please sign and then return.

Note1: The magnet is very powerful. To avoid TBs being trapped you could add them last and attach the string provided.
Note 2: It is possible that water will enter the container. Please try to only swap plastic items so that this is not a problem.
Many thanks.
