Stroll along this nice north valley ditch and enjoy the trees
and waterfowl. The cache name was picked because of the hidden gem
just to the northwest of the hide - a Bed & Breakfast nestled
among the trees that I doubt many people know about. Also because
it has a "K" sound to go with "Kohavis"
The safest bet for parking is probably the small lot at the
south end of a park along Matthew Ave. NW. The hide is only a 0.37
mi. walk from the lot. You might as well also grab Tied in a Knot -
GC12PDB while you're there since you'll be walking right past it.
Park, head to the other side of the fence along the ditch and head
west along the N. side of the ditch and follow it to the cache when
it turns north.
The north side of the ditch has an extremely narrow trail. Most
of the time you're walking within a foot of the ditch dropoff, and
the trail requires dodging a few branches and diverting around
trees, so be careful and if you attempt it at night, make sure you
have a good flashlight!
You're looking for an Army decon container. There is a logbook
and a pencil stub, and room for some small swag or trackables.
Please be careful along the ditch if you have small children along,
and it's a good idea to bring some DEET repellent in case the
mosquitoes are out in force. Enjoy!
