Welcome to the Bennington Battle Monument, the tallest structure in all of Vermont!
I originally planned this to be a mystery cache where you had to answer questions and log the cache in order to get credit, but since that's not allowed anymore a traditional micro will have to do. After visiting this cache you are highly encouraged to seek out nearby benchmark MZ1940 and explore your surroundings. The plaques have interesting bits of history to tell. If the monument is open, go inside and pay the $5 admission charge for a ride up to the top; it's well worth it!
Take note: this area can be quite crowded during in-season so please use stealth. When in doubt, pretend to take a picture, or actually take one! Cache is a micro canister, not on private property. Hope you enjoy your visit.
