Welcome to Beijing Travel Bug Hotel Part 2. The original seemed impossible to maintain in a small park, so I have moved it to the large Chaoyang Park. There is a very minor fee to get in to the park (5 RMB) and the park is accessible from several locations although I have listed the reference point for the West gate. Have fun!
Bring your own pen! This cache is a small food container with a log book and one TB to start.
Chaoyang Park is perhaps the largest and most beautiful within Beijing - a great place for a date, to take the kids kiting, or to just relax under a tree with a book. It is composed of rolling green grass fields, broken up by the occasional lake or copse of trees. There are many bridges to help you access all areas of the park. The park is surrounded by a thriving community and many foreigners are renting nearby. The large Solana Mall is located at the northwest edge of the park, and you can find some good shopping and eats there. Lucky Street, a plethora of bars and restaurants, is also nearby the Solana Mall.
