Known unanimously at work as "Shorty's Tree", but more easily recognisable by Charleville locals more simply as "almost home!". This seemingly out of place landmark alongside some ruins is not far on the eastern side from town and is a welcome sight after any time on the road (but particularly after a quick weekend dash to the coast and back).
The cache is hidden in the ruins of what was originally a meatworks in the late 1800s. In the early 1900s, the site was reused as a wool scour. Now, it stands as a testament to the building materials and architecture of yesteryear, with only a plaque and a small set of blockwork ruins to mark the site. Worth a quick stop on the way into (or out of) town.
