Plum Creek Park has been my favorite place to hike and take photos since the early 80”s…about the same time that I first read The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. I was hooked on both and still am. The three caches I’m placing on the south side of Plum Creek Park are a tribute to JRR Tolkien, master storyteller extraordinaire. His world of Middle Earth was occupied by Hobbits, Elves, Dwarves, Wizards and men… as well as others, some too evil to mention.

Tolkiens elves were an immortal race of beings similar in appearance to humans but fairer and wiser, with great spiritual powers, and keen eyesight and hearing, They were proficient smiths and fierce warriors with excellent bowmanship skills. They lived in woodlands and had a close empathy with nature.

Look for a medium sized camouflaged container with room for small trade items.
Please be respectful of this environment. No bushwhacking please. Off trail hiking is damaging to the environment and prohibited.

Plum Creek Park is a beautiful park in northeastern Medina County. It has picnic areas, pavilions, a playground, 2 stocked fishing ponds and both paved and unpaved hiking trails. Thanks to the Medina County Park District for permitting this cache. Please remember to cache in and trash out.
