Ammo box in the woods. A short and moderate bushwack may be necessary depending on the season.
This is my second cache hide....and is very much like my first ("Caribbean Cruise Cache", GC1J9B1, placed in November of 2008). It's another ammo box (my favorite cache type), hidden in the woods (always my favorite place to cache). As always, when caching in the woods....be alert to the possible presence of poison plants, thorny growth, snakes, etc.
The cache contains items collected during an Alaskan cruise I took with my father in May, 2009. The seven-day voyage aboard "Rhapsody of the Seas" made stops in Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan. I was able to find at least one cache in every port....and take in some incredible, unspoiled scenery while enjoying this hobby. Along the way, I gathered keychains, postcards and other small trade items....with the intent of placing them in a cache "back home" upon my return.
Feel free to take a souvenir, or add a few travel keepsakes of your own....Alaskan or otherwise. Happy travels to all who seek this cache....and happy caching, as well!
